On Friday, for the first time in about 2 years, I shaved my beard off.
It's strange for me to finally see the chin that I've hidden from the outside world after all this time. I feel naked and embarrassed to show my freshly-shaven face out and about in the open. It's been so long since I had this child-like appearance. I think it was around early 2016 where, in the midst of shaving my facial hair away yet again, I decided to keep my beard just to see what it would look like. I ended up liking it so I kept it up until now. Every once in a while, if I'm bored, I'd spend time just by stroking my beard with a couple of fingers and feel the sensation of hitting the hair against the skin of my face, which--oh by the way--was awesome.
Those moments and then some more are prime examples of the good times I had with my beard. It was sad to end that bond between me and my hair buddy when I used the razor, but good things must always come to an end.
The beard will eventually return so I have that going for me. It'll happen in no time since the rest of the facial hair that I have after shaving them away comes back in a week or so. Speaking of which, is it a superpower for a person to immediately grow their hair back after shaving? If it is, then you might as well call me a superhero, reader. What would be a good name for a hair-growing hero?
"Hairman"?
"Beardie"?
"Seth Rogen"?
I don't know...
*sigh*
I look a little fat without a beard.
